Based on Dean Koontz’s 2003 novel of the same name, the 2013 American mystery-thriller movie Odd Thomas is a thriller. Starring Anton Yelchin as Odd Thomas, Willem Dafoe as Wyatt Porter, and Addison Timlin as Stormy Llewellyn, it is directed, written, and co-produced by Stephen Sommers.

The movie centers on Odd Thomas, a short-order cook in a small Californian town with the ability to see the dead. He recognizes the mystery green-haired man as someone who is preparing a brutal assault. In order to catch the criminal and save the town, Odd works with his girlfriend and the local sheriff.

Critics gave the movie varying ratings, with some complimenting Yelchin’s performance and others bemoaning its uneven tone. Nevertheless, despite having a $27 million budget, it was a financial triumph at the box office, earning over $40 million globally.
The Odd Thomas movie has yet to get a second installment, although the novel Forever Odd has one. Dean Koontz also penned the sequel, which was released in 2005.
