Drambi Vandi Case Background

On December 25, 2022, Vandi shot and killed the 41-year-old pregnant lawyer, Bolanle Raheem at the Ajah underbridge checkpoint in Lagos. He was arraigned before a Lagos High Court on January 16, 2023, where he pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of murder. The case was presided over by Justice Ibironke Harrison.

The Lagos State Government prosecuted Vandi for the murder of Mrs. Raheem. The prosecution argued that Vandi acted unlawfully and without justification when he shot Mrs. Raheem.
